I used these for the recommended lifetime and unfortunately went with a BNX filter for replacements. This one is much higher quality and I have no doubt provides far superior filtering. Highly recommended even if it is higher cost. I will be going back to this one for my next replacement.

Living in a dusty desert AND a short haired canine leads to all sorts of airborne particles aggravating the indoor environment. Have tried many filters, and none do the job like this other than the same brand (Filtrete) with a lower MPR rating, which almost but not quite reaches the benefits of this one. Total dust settling out on furniture markedly reduced, but more importantly, chronic sinus and post nasal drip symptoms almost completely eliminated. Lasts about 4-6 weeks depending upon weather and wildfire pollution. I decided to bite the bullet and step up to this version and it’s worth the money.

These are very good filters but a bit expensive. However, I'm OK with that because the quality is good. What perplexes is me is why / how a 12" x 12" filter can be more expensive than a 24" x 24" filter. I thought that I was buying 4 filters ( 2 x 2 Packs ) and what I got was 1 x 2 Pack so now I am going to have to buy another 2 pack - that will be $114 dollars in total. I don't want to have to shop around but I can't afford to be spending that amount of money plus the time spent in switching out the filters every 3 months which is what is being recommended.

I feel that I can tell a difference in the house with lower dust, breathe ability, and less odor.My old filter wasnt as dirty as this one gets and wasnt trapping as much either.The quality of these are excellent!

Been looking for this MPR 1900 Filterette for years. My neighbor across the street uses firewood to heat his house in the winter and the general wind/breeze direction carries the smoke & ash to my house. I've become sensitive to smoke after 20+ years. I'm hoping the filter will adequately reduce the particulates & improve my indoor air quality. I found what I wanted on Amazon. FYI: this filter is thicker and restricts air flow to your HVAC system.

These are great filters. They really help with reducing allergens. They fit the unit perfectly so easy in, easy out! They get a lot of the dust we get here every time you open a door. They also help filter out most of my mom's cigarette smoke before it gets to my room.Our apt complex replaces what they call filters monthly, free of charge but these are so good I don’t mind having to pay for them. I would be so miserable, especially in the mornings if it weren’t for these. I’ve used them for years everywhere I’ve lived.They are a little expensive but not my so bad I would sacrifice my health by not using them.

I use these as a cheap emergency replacement for HEPA filters: when stacked in series two of these 1" filters reduce the 0.3 micron particles 50-fold (98% arrest, verified with a calibrated particle counter). The 12" size is relatively standard , and fits into standard housings. These Filtretes are odour-free, unlike costly HEPA filters from certain supplies (e.g. IQAir). Now, I wish they costed less (hence 4 stars).
