The boring head seems decent although it has visible runout so I didn’t even bother indicating it. It’s a boring head so as soon as you set it up it has “runoutâ€. It feels solid in the hand and the adjustment is fairly smooth.The boring bars are horrible - out of the box wouldn’t even cut aluminum. I gave one a lick on the grinding wheel to give it some relief and a cutting edge and it works OK. Time will tell how long the cheese-grade carbide hold an edge. I may cut a flat for the grub screw to stop it twisting in the holder during boring.All in all though its decent value for money, just get some proper boring bars or be prepared to re-work the ones in the kit to make them cut. The head alone probably justifies the cost.

I’ve used my 2 inch quite a bit and found that it was at it’s extremities too often so the 3 inch filled the gap where the 6 inch was justo big.

I dissembled the head and had to do a lot of hand stoning to remove burrs and reassembled it. Seams like it will be just fine. Fast shipping over all I’m pleased with it for the cost

Does exactly what it is meant to do. checked the dial against a cut hole and it is very accurate.
