When I removed my old thermostat I found that the wall had been painted around it. Instead of going through the hassle to match the paint color I got this cool trim piece. Used this for a Google Nest Learning Thermostat 2nd gen, the nest fit perfectly on the trim piece. It was super easy to install and it looks like it's meant to be there. It completely covered the paint mismatch and let me avoid a huge headache. I would recommend this one 👌

Makes the Google Nest thermostat look seamless and built in. The plate that came with the thermostat was white and did not go well with the black thermostat. The plate has a soft, matte coating that has been easy to clean. I can not speak on installation because our HVAC guy installed it!

Do not fit Gen 3 properly, the 4 circular guides that should fit 4 slots on the back of the thermostat are slightly wider, therefore thermostat do not seat properly and sticks out more than with original Ring blanking plate.

not exactly match with the picture ,their picture shows the inside circle has line pattern which is the reason why I buy it ,but it turns out no line, disappointed.
