Ordered this for an automotive electrical project. Looks like it will work just fine. Silicone impregnated fiberglass mesh. The silicone completely covers the outside and the fiberglass is exposed on the inside so the wires, hoses, etc should slide through easily enough. I might update this review later if it seems appropriate.

Great for protecting wiringI used this when I ran a new 2ga cable to my starter, as the routing is right next to the exhaust manifold.I feel a lot better knowing that the positive cable has multiple layers of non conductive insulation between the wiring and the chassis

I haven't tested this to failure, but the silicone content seems high, it is very pliable, the inner sleeve fiberglass seems good. I've used a lot of fire sleeves in aviation, and this seems to be very similar.
