I love how cheap it is and you're getting a lot for the cost. The wooden handle is a nice touch and the long rod makes it easy to strike. The sparks are good and starts a fire easily.

If you’ve ever dreamed of channeling your inner survivalist while looking ridiculously cool, the HDSSY Fire Starter Survival Tool is exactly what you need. This thing is like carrying a miniature thunderstorm in your pocket—one strike, and bam, instant sparks! The wooden handle? A work of art. It feels like it was hand-carved by an ancient fire god who knew you’d one day need to roast marshmallows in the wilderness. The ferro rod is thick enough to outlast an apocalypse (or at least a week of camping), and the included striker makes you feel like a rugged adventurer, even if you’re just lighting your backyard firepit. The umbrella rope is a nice touch too—because who doesn’t want a fire starter that doubles as a bracelet for your survival chic look? It’s also waterproof, which means you can accidentally drop it in a river while feeling smug about how prepared you are.Be warned, though: this thing sparks big. The first time I struck it, my dog gave me a look that said, “Are you summoning dragons?” Spoiler: I wasn’t, but I totally could have. Conclusion: Whether you’re lighting fires, impressing friends, or auditioning for your local “Survivor” spinoff, this fire starter is the real deal. Highly recommend it—but only if you’re ready to unleash your inner Bear Grylls.Rating: 5/5 Flames 🔥

One of the softest Ferro rods I’ve used, does the job, excellent for practice fire building does require more strikes. At least in my uses.

Works just as it should. Nice wood handle too. Just make sure you strike it a few times to remove some of the black coating then strike it towards your tender bundle.

These are bigger and more robust than I expected. Haven't started a fire with them yet but they appear to be of similar quality as the top brands on Amazon. At this price, I'll probably order some more to give as gifts.

I got mine on sale and for under 6 dollars, it is a chunky Ferro Rod.

Very nice firesteel. It appears to have a walnut handle that is very well finished. Two easy strikes with a sharp spine knife and it ignited fatwood shavings.
