Super heavy. Need two people or a very strong person to install. It helped warmth room better than without for sure! Brought the temp up 4â° in about an hour.

The Plate looks heavy duty, but it is missing the feet.

It does protect the back wall from burns and brick mortar repair but as for projecting heat back into the room….nah it doesn’t do that. Couldn’t tel a difference.

Really helps to reflect heat out of the fireplace and protects the firebrick and mortar from damage from hot fires.
