This valet rod is nice and sturdy and has some weight to it. However, if you plan to secure this rod to drywall, you will want to note that screws are included but not any wall anchors. The measurements on the web page did not include the actual "hanging space" on the rod so I have attached a photo to this review which shows this measurement.

I used smaller screws so they fit my closet system (closet-maid). Very solid and can fit a week's worth of clothes on here when Im packing for a work trip. Also I use it the night before to put tomorrow's clothes on there and its perfect for that.

I’m quite impressed with my new ‘FIRJOY Valet Rod’. I need a 2nd one. This simple device has so many possible uses. The backside of my closet door needs this one for quick morning access. The other I want to install on a closet door in the bathroom. That door swings out near a floor heat duct and will be perfect for drying delicate clothing overnight.The design of this rod has a ball finial at the end to serve as a draw handle and as a hanger keeper. The ball and rod do fully retract when not in use. When drawn forward the ball serves as a stop which is handy if the rod is mounted on a swinging door or underneath a sliding shelf.The hardware that comes with the valet rod is useless. The screws don’t bite they just mash the wood, even when inserting to predrilled holes. I wouldn’t expect this unit to hold a heavy backpack but, it makes dressing in the morning rush easier.The only suggestions I can make are don’t hesitate to add the FIRJOY Valet Rod to your organizational list of Spring Cleaning and do use your own screws for mounting. I've rated this product to reflect the need to purchase different screws but am otherwise very happy to recommend it.

I was surprised as it looks like a genius idea, but it came even without a plastic. And just screws. No bolts to provide adequate adjustment and fit when installing. Not sure I was sent a returned item, but it is disappointing for the price.

After coveting a valet rod that was on my side of the closet, my wife decided she needed one. I purchased this with lower expectations due to the price, but it is great. Very solid, works with closet pre drilled holes. So far I am very impressed with the quality and my wife uses it every day.
