These are great! Correctly sized. Broke a #7 eyelet on my rod. Lifted out the replacement #7 with the included tweezers. Pushed it in from the top and toward the spine where the guide meets rod. Then, I used the fat section of the tweezers to pop the front end of the ring into place by squeezing the guide front and insert ring together. I never needed the file tool. Good lighting, reading glasses, and a magnifying glass are recommended on smaller rings so you can first make sure the guide's ring area is clean and clear before install, and then to check your work. Using a paper clip, apply a tiny bit of super glue around where the ring insert meets the guide -- and VOILA! The only downside, and it's minor, is that my rod inserts are dark brown, while the closest replacement sold by this company is black. But, it's only noticeable if you go looking because #7 is a fairly small ring.

I have a fishing rod that I really like and the ceramic eyelet broke. I didn’t want to replace the entire tip. So I decided to try replacing the eyelet. The new eyelet snapped in perfectly. I dabbed a little epoxy on the top and bottom of the eyelet and it looks and works perfectly. This saved my fishing rod.

I have now replaced about 6 ceramic inserts. Some from this kit and some from another brand because although this has a lot of different sizes, it does not have very many of each size.I remove the old ceramic pieces and then use the included file to gently smooth the inside surface of the remaining metal guide. I keep test fitting the insert until it can be pressed into the metal guide, and then I apply a small amount of super glue to multiple points between the ceramic and metal. So far all the inserts have stayed in place and the rods were returned to service.

Lost an insert on one of my walleye casting rods years ago. Didn’t have the heart to get rid of the rod or send it for a costly repair. This was the perfect solution for what I needed. Good quality, easy insulation. Would recommend if you’ve lost an insert on one of your high-quality rods.

I usually replace my bait casting rods when the eyelets break. Not anymore!! Super easy to use and very high quality eyelets. They pretty much pop right in place but use a little super glue too. Takes about a minute or two of filing but once you get it, it’s like a glove. This is a game changer.

Nice kit. It's simple and had what I needed. Saved my favorite spinning rod from going in the trash.
