When I purchased the unit I wanted to make sure that I had a foot control so I could keep both of my hands free while working.Everything is very lightweight so I had to make a bracket to mount it on to be able to stabilize it.Works perfectly.Comes in handy when applying the epoxy on the wrappings.You can leave the unit on so you have one smooth coat without having the epoxy drip and deform your work

Foot pedal works great. You can also turn the switch to full ON mode. Nice little gadget for the money.

I couldn’t believe how strong this motor is. Using it to turn my fishing rods that need repair. The big surf rods, 1-1/4†x 4’ sections, turns them like they were small ones. I was sure that the motor on this product would burn out and just stop. Man, was I surprised, ran a big rod all night while the epoxy was drying. Amazing. Love it….fixing all my broken rod guides and rods. Yeah baby !!! Get it. You will not be sorry!

This thing tips over like crazy, is hard to adjust on the fly if you notice an issue, and in general is just a motor in a plastic housing. No purposeful design, or thought to user interface. The hard plastic rollers have flashing that will scratch rod coatings, make sure they are smooth before setting a rod on them.

I only used this itme once and the gears got "stripped" or something happened where it DOES NOT ROTATE SMOOHLY. It has a "JERK" in the middle of the rotation. Makes me wonder if the GEARS GOT STRIPPED? i WONDER IF THE GEARS ARE MADE OF PLASTIC INSIDE. DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM

La calidad es buena, pero donde se asienta el portacaña donde esta el motor es de baja calidad y se mueve como si estuviera floja la pieza aun que se apriete el tornillo que viene para sostener esa pieza, lo demas no tiene problema

It is what I expected. It is not a heavy tool. The rod holder works well. I only use it for applying finish to my rods and letting it turn well the finish dries.
