Super easy to install and gives a good reading. Very sleek and modern looking, good adhesive. Hopefully it lasts long because you can't change the battery, but it's a good thermometer regardless!

I am unsure how accurate either is, but honestly it was so easy to install. I just attached it to my tank. It is super easy to read and it turns off on its own which is great. Again, unsure of the temperature accuracy but it seems to work well for me!

So let’s go into some details on this.These things are not perfectly accurate. They take a reading from the outside of your tank. So technically they read the temp of the glass.They are not 100% accurate. My heater in my tank is pretty near accurate. Within .5 of a degree. But it’s in the dead center on my 75 gallon and my 2 thermometers from this listing are on the left and right sides. I wanted multiple readings since my tank is 4’ long.After checking each side with a mercury thermometer I can say these are CLOSE. About 2 degrees off from the actual temp, so if you take that into account, they can be used. (Example. These read 76 degrees. My tank IS 78 degrees even though these read 76, in my head i just add 2 degrees to them)They are nice looking. They have a power button, which when you hit it, turns the screen on for 5 seconds. They re-read each time but the sensor needs time to adjust to a new temp just like any thermometer. Screen is easy to read. Numbers are big.Overall 4/5 because the reading is incorrect. But it is consistently incorrect. So the product is usable.

I purchased this tank thermometer as I have a cold water tank. Since it's winter time I wanted to disconnect my tank chiller hoping to find something accurate so I know when to turn it back on. I had concerns with it being outside the tank but everytime I have checked the temperature, it has always matched my chiller. It is easy to use, just press the touch screen button and the temperature will display for a few seconds before going back into sleep mode. It's discrete, accurate and well worth the inexpensive price.
