About this item

  • Great for use with 2/0 or 3/0 hooks.
  • The bait stays on the hook and the fish stay on the bait!
  • Pennant shape is great for tipping jigs.
  • The scent that melts in the water, not on your hands.

Each bag contains (15) pennant-shaped baits 1.5” L x .5” W (at the base). Fishbites Fish’n Strips use our “Longer Lasting” formula gel that incorporates a mesh in the middle which keeps the bait on the hook cast-after-cast and fish-after-fish. Fishbites Fish’n Strips are ideally suited for use with 2/0 and 3/0 hooks. While they can be fished in almost any water temperature, the gel is formatted for greater durability in water temperatures at or above 70F/21C. Fishbites is made with pride in St. Augustine, FL USA.

I like using these in the bays, rivers and the surf. I’ve caught speckled trout, red drum, flounder and croaker with them. The last a long time which is why I like them. They are easy to use, but I hate having to cut the mesh from my fish hook when they melt away.

I normally don’t leave reviews but this bait deserved recognition. We live in central Florida fishing the Bananna and Indian river in Brevard county. We use two different baits, live shrimp and fish bites (flavor don’t matter) andwe get more hits on fish bites than live shrimp and that’s unbelievable! We use them everytime we go as secondary bait and it ends up primary bait. Buy these, you won’t be disappointed!🎣 you’re looking at a 40” black drum at 27 pounds

I fish Pensacola beach every summer and these are great. They stay on the hook well and last almost as long as cut squid, but catch more fish. I would say real shrimp, crab or sand flea will get you more bites, but you will also miss a lot of fish due to bait stealers with real bait. Overall I think you will catch more fish with this stuff than the real thing because you will get multiple bites on the same bait. I've caught as many as 6 fish without having to put a new one on. I've also caught bait fish, vermillion snapper, trigger fish, a small grouper, and even a red snapper on this while bottom fishing off shore. If the fish aren't biting them, there are no fish around. Get the long lasting version if available.

It's easy to use and stays on the hook well, however, fish wouldn't touch the stuff. I ended up switching to actual shrimp and cut bait and the fish were biting as expected.

I use fishbites for crocker and kingpins and it always worked well. One night I was catfishing using live bait and nothing was bitting. So I added a piece of fishbites to the hook with the live bait and within 5 minutes I had a 17lbs blue cat on the line. I keep on catching fish on that rod but none on the 2 that I wasn't using it on. So I added to them and as soon as they hit the water I had a fish on them. I do fish in a blackish flood plan. But I've had some really good luck using it with live bait.

After a recent week long trip to the coast, I'm "hooked" on Fish Bites. I read the reviews on here and thought I'd give it a shot. It did work amazingly well. I used regular shrimp and the Fish Bites Shrimp a lot during the week. This product performed just as well as the regular shrimp. The pompano and pin fish loved it. I didn't pull in any monsters, but the hits on it were very consistent. My sons also used it quite a bit. As mentioned in some of the other reviews, the mesh inside does keep the bait on the hook longer. This was really helpful for my boys who didn't have to rebait their hook every bite or cast. They were able to spend more time with their lines in the water. This was especially helpful for my youngest, whose attention span is not the longest. He sticks with the fishing more when he is casting and reeling, not walking back and forth to get more bait.I still use natural bait a lot, but I certainly keep this in my tackle box as an option. It's also great because it doesn't smell, and you can keep it for a long time.A couple of hints: when the bait has worn away, the mesh is hard to get off of the line. Just tugging/pulling at it- not going to work. Have a small pair of clippers (I used my line cutters) to cut it off helps tremendously. Secondly, don't get it wet! This stuff becomes incredibly slick. Even if your fingers are wet, it's hard to get enough grip to pull it over the hook. I had one pack open laying on the ground and a large wave ran way up the shore washing over my tackle. It filled up one pack that I had not sealed shut. I thought I would be able to salvage it, but it was hopeless. All in all, I am thoroughly pleased with Fish Bites Shrimp.
