Have problems with multiple rods in close proximity to each other snagging each of the other's lures? Ever had your combo snag your shirt? Snag your seat covers? These clear lure covers were game changers for me when I threw a few rods in the back of my truck or SUV already rigged up. WIth the two different sizes in the set, I could cover crank baits and buzz baits on larger combos as well as spinners and rooster tails on lighter rod/reel combos. The have three sides of velcro which is strong enough for the application and the clear plastic cover is pliable, durable, and resistance to hook punctures. After getting this set and seeing other - more fashionable - name brand versions, I simply shake my head and ask, why? This set is all you need and at this price point, you can destroy and replace them after some pretty heavy abuse, and still come out way ahead.

I fish with my grandson and his treble hooked lures were getting caught in the car, even once in my purse! This is the perfect solution as they wrap around the pole and lure so the hooks are protected and can’t hook into anything else. The 3 sizes are nice as well, although we didn’t need all of them, but we have plenty to use in the future.

Started the year with one of the guys on the boat getting a hook from a lure stuck in his jacket, luckily not in him. Got these and gave some of them to the guys I fish with and we use them all season and no one got hooked. They are still in good condition so I think they will last a long time.

The material is sturdy, and these are very useful. The band of velcro is a bit narrow. The quality of the workmanship and/or quality control was not perfect. One of mine did not have the right velcro at one end. It was missing the velcro that stuck to the opposite velcro.

It’s not unusual to have several rods ready in the boat, and when casting that means plenty of exposed treble hooks. Be as careful as can be, and someone can still lose their balance and fall onto a rod with an exposed plug. If there are big trebles on that plug it could be disaster. Ever try removing even a fairly small hook? Removing an embedded big one is the stuff of really bad dreams. So lure protectors like this are essential. Plus they keep from getting line from other rods all tangled up in attached plugs. The clear plastic makes it obvious what lures are where. They are easy to attach with the Velcro borders and are heavy enough to be very protective. Unlike fabric protectors these are stiffer so keep that in mind. They come in different sizes in the package, and the sizes have met my needs, although they are not big enough in the package I got to cover extra large musky or saltwater plugs.

Just what I needed in the rod locker to prevent treble hooks from tangling and catching on the rod sleeves. Great price.
