I Got this because my handle on my Okuma ABF 40 reel was finally giving out and I decided to order this item and it worked out perfectly. It feels real sturdy. Hopefully it will last a long time. The price is great you get two for what the price of one was from other sellers.

Spent hours looking for handle for Mitchell open face reel I have had for five years or more. Went thru countless manuals and websites trying to find a replacement to no prevail. Then I came across these and life goes on. So glad don’t have to trash great older reel because of crappy handle. I would consider purchasing medium and large handles if don’t know size you need. Large is mostly for big spinning reels, catfish reels, saltwater reels, and medium is more for crappie or bass medium to lightweight outfits. Hope this helps you I’m glad to not be looking for replacement handle anymore. Smooth turning and can break down for storing and taking up less room.

I have a 2 piece rod with an okuma ABF-40b that I keep under the back seat in my truck. The handle snapped because i have way too much stuff stored back there. Even though it wasn't a high end reel, it was solid enough for the unexpected times I find to throw a lure at a red or Snook here in Florida. So I figured, extra handles were a lot cheaper than a new reel and I could always return them if they didn't fit. I thus ordered both the large and small sizes of these handles. Turns out both fit just fine, however the longer length of the large (See picture) felt much better for me when cranking. The wood part of the handle is nice, but smaller than you'd think by the picturesand doesnt feel the best in your hand, but still very usable. I wouldn't say I'd like them on my more expensive, serious reels but for the price I'm pleasantly surprised. Enough so that I didn't return the small and decided to just keep them in with my repair parts kit. About $7 for 2 handles isn't bad and having them on hand could easily salvage a fishing trip.

Did not work on salmon run spinning reel too small. Works on other reels though.

Push button fold can't hold up to reeling. Not built sturdy enough so the handle folds in half while trying to reel. Handle also flexes.

These work great replaced crankarm that must have fallen by the river somewhere.
