I snowmobile 20-30 times a year and always have an emphasis on having high end equipment since you never know what could go wrong out the in back country. Socks are a big part of this. I bought this two pack of socks to try a lower cost alternative to some of the big snowmobile brand offerings. They lack some of pointed padding you get with a "high performance" sock but they are very comfortable and their padding is built in to the entire sock rather than in specific areas like the heel or ball of your foot. These are a happy medium of not too warm and not too cold for me, but I don't normally suffer from cold extremities. I like that they are stretchy and go up over the top of my calf just below the knee.Good socks - fit was perfect for me with a size 10 foot with the Large size offering.

I like these socks but I’m still looking for the perfect winter walking socks. These socks have good height, genuinely over the calf and comfortable/not too constricting up top. However, they are thinner than I’d like. I can feel the cold tile floor through these almost the way it feels in my old socks which have gone threadbare. I was genuinely surprised by how much I could feel the cold floor through these because they didn’t feel like thin socks in your hands. That said, once I put my shoes on the heat kicked in! My toes were plenty warm on our winter walks which is what I needed. I do wish these had a little more plush thicknesses to them just for the sake of coziness. They are functionally good in shoes but not socks I’m excited to put on.

Very disappointed in these merino wool socks! Bought them for my husband to wear in the cold weather and he says they are no warmer than regular socks on his feet.They do keep his legs warm as one would expect because they are knee highThey fit well, are not real thick, color is as pictured and are well made, but the whole purpose was to keep his feet warm and they do not measure up!
