I got this shirt in size small for my 5 yr old, and it fits him well. It feels like high quality swim fabric, and it's held up well after a few months of use. We've had no issues with it, and it still looks brand new. The color is also a good match to the product photos.

I had been on the search for a long-sleeved sun shirt for my daughter. We live in the high desert and my daughter has very fair skin - so sun protection is a must. This one is just what I was looking for!I ordered this shirt for my tall and slim 8-year-old daughter in the size "X-Small". It fits her well with room to grow - I would say it's true-to-size.My daughter chose the "Blue" color and it's a beautiful icy blue that is well represented in the description photos. She says it looks like something Elsa would wear!This shirt has a very soft and slinky feel. It's neither too thick nor too thin. It has thoughtful design details like a hood for added sun protection, a kangaroo pocket, and thumb loops.My daughter has been wearing this shirt for hiking and loves it so much that we ordered a second one in the "Fuschia" color. I highly recommend these shirts!

We chose to size up a size just in case the sizing runs small. The sizing is pretty accurate as this short piece fits loosely on our daughter, but she will likely grow into it by fall when the weather gets cooler. We always appreciate a good UPF top for our daughter so this one fit the bill. The material is not too too thick nor too thin. Definitely not something that would keep you warm in the winter but can be layered between clothing for added warmth or for layering over something but still provide the UPF protection. The color is pretty accurate like the online picture and material feels soft and comfortable.
