I believe these are good quality with good sound being double sound box. The size is also right for the hands of an adult male; However, I can not play them because my dog goes crazy. As soon as he hears them, he loses his mind and jumps up to my hands to kill them, and also attacks me. I will use them in the future.

I am a professional drummer and I wanted to experiment with the castanets, at first I was leery of buying a pair that were not wood but these are pretty fantastic! They've a nice loud sound. And I'm already driving my bandmates and neighbors crazy!
