Ya know it didn't come from the manufacturer so there was need for a little ingenuity to adapt it perfectly, but once installed it works brilliantly and the plastic of the handle seems very sturdy. (written 2 months after installation)

This is not the first replacement handle I've installed. It's a close fit but nowhere near an exact fit like the previous ones I replaced. A) The plastic hooks are in different places. B) The screw hole does not line up with the hole on the metal plate on the sofa. I had to remove two of the plastic hooks on the underside of the handle with my bandsaw, then drill and tap a new hole in the metal plate to fit the screw. None of which I've had to do before. Can it be done? Yeah, so far so good. Should it be necessary to alter a piece ON THE SOFA and the plastic handle? Wasn't the other times I replaced them. COMPARE the one you take off to the new one. Chances are they are now different.

Replaced broken pull lever for the Lane Summerlin Snuggler Recliner. It fit perfectly and worked like new. No modification was needed like other reviewers mentioned. I’m glad I was able to find a replacement product for 20 year old recliner.

Since I could not buy the OEM part any longer, I purchased this for the handle. It did not fit exactly as the original. with some ingenuity, I put parts from the old and the new one and made it work

So I should replace my 30 year old sectional for something new? No. Repair the old, and Lane parts are still available on the secondary market for the recliner portions. This is a poor but serviceable substitute for the original. After installing the first unit shipped, the handle pivot failed within a few uses. Ugh. Poor manufacturing standards, failed pivot mechanism. Amazon offered a free replacement... it arrived in a few days, I installed the free replacement handle, and it's still working a few days later. Just returned the failed unit to Amazon via UPS dropoff.

Both where broke on our love seat. Figured it was done in. But found them to be exact match. And furniture is 20 years old. They work great!

This installed easily on my chair, was a perfect match, and I was very happy. Then, after only a few weeks, it broke. The rocker handle plastic is apparently very weak, and it broke right where the cable attaches to the rocker. Not cool.

the item will not work out of the package. Two slotted posts need to be removed. The other two slotted posts need the slots deepened and widened. The metal backing plated needs the slot locations deepened to fit new part. Small round post needs to be removed. Only reasonably priced option available, but it needs to be fitted to work. You need some skills to fit new part. Dremel tool is very helpful. After final assemble, remove the spring on the latch at the bottom end of the cable. New handle may not go back into place on its own, but handle will pull much easier. This may not be true of all Lane recliners but works for the love seat double we have.

The handle on our couch broke and this one was offered as the replacement. It does fit, and it does work, but, I had to cut off two hooks and a spacer post and modify the hooks I needed. Glad we could get it, but be prepared with a hack saw….
