Used this to replace a worn pickguard on an old 70s flying V, it worked perfect, easy to cut and drill, not extremely brittle like some of the materials, comes with protective plastic coating so you can assemble everything without worrying about scratching up your brand new guard.

This material is great! Like previous reviews state, it is truly a 4-ply pickguard where the top layer is Tortoise Celluloid film. It looks really nice and its quality far exceeds the price you pay. I had enough to make 2 Mustang bass pickguards. The sheet is really thick and easy to work with.I've bought a white pearl strat pickguard by IKN before and it also looked great. Their pearl and tortoise material are the real deal. The attached picture is the pickguard I made from this material.

It's not a ply layer of plastic or melamine. It some type of vinyl layer applied to white black white pick guard material. I'm disappointed!

Bought this to make a new scratchplate for an old 1970's Japanese made P Bass for which, a standard p bass scratchplate will not fit at all.It looks fantastic, to be honest. 4ply acrylic, white, black, white with tortoise shell on the top.Can't wait to get started, just need a few more things first.
