You might want to get a USB extension, as the cord is not very long. It's bright as day!

This does what it says it will. Great light for detecting even the smallest leaks on my horn!

After having this in our shop for over a year in now, I can honestly say this light is one of the more frustrating leak lights I've used. First of all it's too dim to be of much use unless I turn off the room lights. Secondly it's too short to be of much use in any saxophone. Third and most annoying there is no on-off switch. Plug it in and it's on until you unplug the thing. Fourth the cord is far too short, so you HAVE to buy a USB extension cord to be able to even use it the first time.I absolutely hate using it and only resort to using it when there is no other choice. Finally, although it has been used sparingly as a "last resort" tool, after a few dozen uses it is beginning to flicker and short out ... so durability is yet another potential issue. Compared to other choices on the market I feel it is too pricey. I am using it now only until an alternative I've ordered arrives. I don't recommend this light at all.

It quit working within a year; I got a warranty replacement and it's not the same LED color (white, not amber).
