I purchased the cleaning kit for alto sax, and am very pleased with the kit as a whole. the sax body swab to get moisture out and away from pads worked great it is weighted on both pull strings, and was just the right size to go through the body without snags. The neck and mouth piece swab was also just the right size to remove moisture build up in the neck and moth piece. It to was weighted just right to go through without snags. I can see the little brush maybe being useful, if you let grunge build up in your mouthpiece. The thumb rest cushion could also be useful to young hands to help hold on. The cleaning cloths are also useful for small tight places. I use a detailing brush with a rubber finger on one end, and a brush on the other to aid in getting into tight spots. I recommend this set.

Overall great value, very easy to use. The swab stays soft and absorbent e with heavy use. Having a pull string at both ends of the swab in useful for cleaning a really wet sax after a long session. The large swab will not go completely through the neck of an alto sax. You must remove the neck to clean it. Pull the swab in as far as it will go, let it sit a few seconds then pull it back out. The small swab is unnecessary.

all the cloth's are soft and simple to use, but there is about 2 too many? one for the saxophone and neck, and one for the mouthpiece should suffice. the bristles on the mouthpiece cleaner seem too stiff and harsh to use (maybe soaking in hot water and use over time will solve this?). overall, good cleaning kit that gets the job done. cork grease would have been nice instead of the extraneous cloths.

The kit came with just about everything one needs to clear the moisture out of the sax after use. It is simple to use and does a great job. The purchase of pad dryers is still necessary to keep the pads dry and clean, but as far as clearing out the moisture from the mouthpiece, neck and body of the sax, this works great!

I liked the fact it works. And its not expensive. You can clean and maintain your alto sax with this kit. With the one exception that "chapstick" for the cork is not a part of this kit. So you will need to get that seperately.

Least expensive and best cleaning system i ever used. The neck strap is also surprisingly good, will keep for a spare. I never thought about a thumb pad before, but it does work.

Two different sizes for the clothes and they are great! One is perfect size to clean my neck of my tenor and my sax’s original cleaner got stuck in it ( I got it out eventually) but this one fit perfectly and went through with no problems. The bigger one is for the the body of the saxophone and is perfect size! Thumb rest is a little bit on it, but otherwise than that, this was great for the price.

The weight and length of the cords on the main cleaning rag are insufficient (not heavy enough not long enough), and the main cloth itself is not large enough for a tenor sax. It can work, but it take a lot more effort to use this cleaning cloth than it should - my bad for thinking that this shape would be ok compared to a traditional square or BG style cloth.
