Does it's job. Reliable and love the multiple feedback sources.

I like this better than my Fluke. Seems to be great quality but time will tell. If it holds up like the Fluke I’d say it’s the best NCVT out there at the moment.

I work in the electrical field. Seems like a solid tool. this is the first voltage pen I have had with a useful light. HOWEVER, on low sensitivity mode the unit does not detect voltage in an installed typical 120v receptacle. On high sensitivity mode, it detects voltage about 3 inches away from a 120v residential receptacle. My 10 dollar klein pen fits in 120v recept and it can detect the voltage and distinguish the neutral. The tip on this flir pen is too short for a typical receptacle. Also, this is the only cat 4 1000v pen I have come across, which makes it legal for large feeders.

The flashlight is bright enough for me. The voltage detection is on par with most other brands I've used (Fluke, Milwaukee, klein) on low sensitivity. High sensitivity will pick up from a distance. Haven't been able to try 24VAC detection yet that's away from 120V+ yet. Initial impressions are good. Will try to follow up after some time and usage. Also fits well in bibs pen pocket.

Excellent device and great initial test tool for low to higher voltages. I made a second purchase within a few days.

It is good quality and I always believe in FLIR products. This torch is bright enough but diffuse, the light cannot reach to longer distance. If the torch design can make adjustment on the focus then it will be more good.

If I knew it was made in China, I wouldn't have bought it. Do you sell anything that's not made in China? List on your website where the items are made!!!!

Melhor detector de tensao disponivel. Melhor que Fluke.Deixa a desejar no quesito robustez nos terminais de contato com a pilha.Otima lanterna.

I’ve had mine for over a year and a half now and it’s one of my main tools as an electrician. Never had any issues.Flir put a lot of thought into the design;- Small light on the NCV end of the tester- Great Flashlight with a good balance between brightness and battery longevity- Battery Low indication- Physical and Audible feedback when voltage is detectedThis tester really has it all, I’m purchasing a second one only because I wore out the flashlight button from the amount of use it gets.

Overall well built, albeit still pricey IMO. Vibrating alert is a nice touch. However, even on low sensitivity, it's way too sensitive. It'll alert at about an inch away from a 120V Romex, for example. This is great if you're using it just for safety, but useless for diagnosis. I need to know specifically which wire in the box is live, and the FLIR can't do that. So sure, buy it for safety reason all day long. If you actually want to use something for diagnosis, get a Fluke 1AC.
