This is worthless. The rod is cheap plastic. Spend a little more and get a metal rod. The itsy bitsy rags are completely usrless. It’s better to use a cotton rag that actually absorbs moisture. I would have returned this, except it was not worth waiting in line.

I bought this for my child's flute because the rental place did not offer any cleaning rods with their flutes when we started renting from them. It would be nice if they were a little larger or absorbed more but they work as intended, even if you have to run them through a couple times instead of doing it only once through and back.
