We occasionally get those unexpected cold snaps. This pipe wrap has been a lifesaver, preventing my pipes from freezing. No more lugging buckets of water into the house! The installation was super simple, and it stayed firmly in place once applied. It definitely gets the job done. I’ll definitely be buying more for my other pipes!

One never just needs to wrap a straight pipe. There is always an elbow, and/or a valve, or a T-connection, or something else that makes wrapping a bit of a challenge. I recommend leaving the liner over the adhesive until you really figure out how you're going to wrap the mess. Wrapping necessarily requires some overlap of the tape with itself, which is fine but adds to the complication given that the tape, to provide sufficient insulation, is not paper thin. I do wish one of these manufacturers would provide an estimated length of tape required to wrap a given length of a given diameter pipe. If they ever do, double it. Also, while the tape may be 'waterproof', that doesn't mean the adhesive is going to bond on wet surfaces. If you have some pinhole leaks, it's best to get them fixed before you do this. I hear you get bonus points in the next life if you actually remember to wrap your outdoor pipes in the summer, and don't risk getting frostbite doing it in the first deep freeze.

I’ve been using this tape for a while and it has a multitude of different uses. It is great for the winter and I have been able to wrap all of our pipes with it. It is the longest insulation tape I could find on Amazon.

I'm not sure if there's a lot to say about this stuff. I'm not expert on insulation but it seems to be a little thin for what it's for. Also, whatever they used for adhesion is not the best as I had to wrap my pipe with tape after. In a pinch I'd definitely use it and the fact that I stay in a southern area of a southern state it'll probably be fine, but if i were up north or in a colder climate I definitely wouldn't recommend this.

This foam insulation tape was easy to install and made a noticeable difference in keeping my pipes from freezing. It's lightweight but feels solid, also very sticky! Great for DIY projects
