I have wanted to grow Italian Style green beans, so I finally ordered a small pack. They germinated and are doing quite well. We did trellis them as they are climbers. Grew lots of green beans throughout my life, but these are unique, as they are flat beans, and some of pods can have a curly shape, while others are quite long. My spouse can't get use to the idea of flat green beans, but they are very prolific and have been growing better than the bush beans and half runners. They taste the same as regular green beans and I actually like them. The strings aren't bad, either. I will probably add these to my garden again since they are growing so well in this stifling heat, and I think they are more prolific. I guess we'll have "his" and "her" green beans now but these are a new favorite of mine. I have found that it takes frequent watering to get any green beans to germinate, but these seem less finicky. I pick them daily as they grow, wash and snap them, and add them straight to the freezer bag. You simply cook as many as you need. So much easier than canning the old fashioned way!!

I planted these a couple of weeks ago and every seed sprouted within a few days. Thee beans are at least 2 feet tall now and attaching to a fence very well. They are a replacement for our typical running beans that have served us well for 2 months or so. We have never grown this type of bean before. I took my old beans out yesterday so I hope they will produce soon.

I don't know if they grow but for seeds is a gamble they came out from the ground let's see if they make it

It was easy and convenient to obtain these seeds via Amazon. Seeds appear to be exactly as described in vendor listing. Price was reasonable. A follow up may be appended when results are harvested.Interim report: 20% germination. Disappointment.

I bought several packages of Roma beans seeds, and these were my favorite of them all! They came up and quickly moved up the trellis. The flat bean grew the longest of all the seed packets and tasted delicious! I'm in 9b so I ordered another pack to plant as last of the season, they'll be a hit at the thanksgiving table for our Italian family!

I thought that these seeds wouldn’t work, but OMG! These sprouted and there so tall already and it’s only been a few months. I haven’t been able to taste them yet as they started flowering a few weeks ago. The appearance is really pretty and green. The leaves are strong and it’s really easy to grow them. I have been watering them every day and each day they get a little taller. I’m excited to try them! I recommend these to any planters looking for new vegetables to grow.
