To start off, I have a 2000 chev 1500 with a 5.3. I originally bought a harmonic balancer remover with three hooks which to be honest wasn’t the best quality, after trying to use it it bent the inner bar and broke one of the ears that it holds in too. That right there created a world of problems and it was hell trying to get it off so I gave up on that previous balancer remover.After doing some research I found this baby and let me tell you this thing is awesome! It is thick as hell did not bend at all and it took the balancer off like nothing. I strongly recommend this remover plus it’ll save you kits of time instead of dealing with the other spider hooks with bars and blah blah blah blah. Point is you won’t regret it. Get it 😉

I’m a mechanic, I am familiar with tools. This one broke the first time I used it.. Not only did the plate break off the bolt, both the bolt and the threads inside the puller stripped with the simple task of using it as intended, leaving the balancer only half removed. I had to get another puller to complete the job.

Works great. Plenty tough. Not sure about the reviews that say the tabs bent. Seems like that was probably user error. No reason to have to use enough force to bend it. Recommend this tool.
