Worked perfectly. I used this on a 99 Chrysler 300M with the 3.5L engine and only had to remove the cooling fan assembly to create enough room for the puller, not the radiator. There are 5 inches between the face of the radiator and the front of the crankshaft nose after removing the fan assembly, which creates plenty of room for this puller to work. The puller bolt is hollow and allows a good amount of rod length to go up inside the bolt. Therefore, I suggest you start the removal process with the longer rod. Another tip is to rotate the damper until you see three 10mm bolts that hold a small timing belt cover right underneath the crankshaft nose. The small cover will slide in between the gaps of the three beams in the crank damper. This will give you a little more room to fit the jaw ends onto the center of the damper. After removing the small cover rotate the damper so the three beams in the center of the damper create a letter "Y". This will allow two of the jaws on top to be held in place by gravity while you hold the third jaw with your ring finger. Use your other hand to tighten the bolt until there's enough tension to hold all three jaws in place.

Didn't realize this puller was actually for a Chrysler. The rod was a little short for an LS crankshaft but after putting a deep well 1/4 socket into the crank and then using the long rod that came in the kit it actually worked well for the money. If you had an old engine pushrod that would work perfectly too

Bought this after breaking one of those "universal" harmonic balancer pullers that I got at that Freight company where they sell a Harbor full of Chinese tools. As the shattered arm whizzed past my ear, I thought to myself "This is God's way of telling you that it's time to buy a really good tool instead of a piece of Chinese junk". This Shankly Harmonic Balancer Remover was on sale at about half of what my local car parts shop wanted for an identical tool, so another win for Amazon Prime.The tool itself is easy to use and very well made. I did replace the plain nuts on the pivot pins with nylon-insert lock nuts, which isn't necessary but does keep the nuts from getting loose and backing out. The only problem I ran into, and this is, apparently, common to ALL of the Chrysler-type pullers, was that the included pins aren't long enough to completely pull the harmonic balancer off. I cut a 1" long section from a hardened 8mm bolt and used it to add the necessary extra bit of length needed to pull the balancer, which reportedly requires something like 4 tons of pressure to remove.So...a very robust and well-made tool that benefits from one optional and one improvised bit of improvement, at a great price. Well worth having if you work on cars (this has applications to many vehicles). Just remember to wear your eye protection!

This is a sturdy tool. Used while doing timing belt change on a 2002 Lexus LS430. Just do it a little at a time so you don't bend your harmonic ballancer because this thing is strong. Remember to place the nut on but give a little space each time as you tighten the tension to bring forth, then re-adjust the nut and repeat. Little by little a time.

Bought this to remove a harmonic balancer on a 2006 dodge charger and it worked as it should with no complaints

This tool makes life easy I didn't have to modify the tool or anything like stated in other reviews I have used it for the 2nd time on an 07 dodge charger 3.5L the only thing with this tool you have to remove one of the fingers slip the other 2 into the balancer and then install the one you removed from the tool and bolt it back in slip the rod in the hole and install the puller bolt make sure you use Anti-seize the anti-seize is to insure smoother operation used 2 wrenches do not put an impact on it or you will damage the thread's other then that it a straight forward tool

I think this is a quality tool, for a good price, made of hardened steel and should last a long time.I'm not sorry I bought it, but I did not need it, I use a standard three bolt puller. I am always working on cars, and I'm sure I'll need it for something I am very happy with the tool.Thanks

None of the rods included were long enough to actually use it without making something to add to the tool. I wouldn't waste my money on this again.
