Very easy install. Found a video on YouTube took about 15 minutes and two sockets to get the job done. OEM part and car runs extra smooth now. Shifts much better as well.

I actually have a 2012 Focus that had this part installed instead of the older EVAP Purge Valve Solenoid. My car had started stalling out and then idling too high. My check engine light came on and I had the code run. I couldn't find this part for my car because everything listed for the 2012 had the older part and I knew by looking that what I needed was different. I had run across some sort of forum page that had a link to this part. Thank God I did! I can't say that it was completely painless because there are some small spaces to try to fit hands in, but it was pretty quick and easy to change out. The part worked flawlessly and my car is running perfectly again. Given how expensive some parts can be, and even worse if you have to have someone do the work, I'm one very happy camper!

Wasn't my car but a close friend was having an issue with a crazy humming noise coming from her car (gas tank) using this part fixed the issue shipping was a little long and costly but item worked and solved and issue would highly recommend

2012 focus check engine light came on, checked the code and got evap system small leak. Googled the code and on several forums this part number was mentioned as the fix. Ordered it from amazon and it promptly showed up. Popped the hood and didn't look that hard to swap out, but wanted to wait for a warm day. Then I forgot all about it until my wife said the car was running like crap and she also thought the gas gauge was inaccurate because she drives the same routing every week and some weeks the gauge is showing about 1/4 difference than other weeks. Anyway, I drove the car and sure enough it was running like crap. Idling either real high or low enough to stall. Unfortunately she told me this on a day that it snowed, so I drove the car to the local mechanic and told him check engine light is on and I think this is the part that should fix it. He said he doesn't just swap parts and will have to troubleshoot it. Told him fine, hour or so later he called and said the solenoid was stuck open and he installed the part and my car is good. I paid him for an hour of labor and didn't have to deal with the cold.Since having this part installed the check engine light is off (obviously), the car idles a lot better, the gas gauge is accurate and I seem to think there might have been a ticking sound that now disappeared.So if you have an evaporator small leak detected, I would try this.

I would say it fixed my problem but it isn't the most updated unit. I looked at this unit and I bought the exact same one from the dealership, they looked completely different. The one from local dealership is missing the purge thingy but this one is still here and I looked it up on Youtube where people are saying the missing purge one is actually the latest updated one which seems to fix the problem permanently. Well but this one is $20 cheaper than the one in my local dealership so your choice.. Other than that, it was pretty to install which only took me about 15mins top to replace it.

Easy DIY. One point to note, to remove the existing part you press in on the rectangular portion of the green tab.Used my OBD2 app to clear the code. Has not returned and car feels to have more consistent fuel delivery.Much cheaper than going to the dealer. Yes, this is covered by a recall, but this is the second time my car has needed this!

Todo indica que solucionó el problema asociado con la campaña de seguridad de Ford 18S32 (Deformación de tanque de combustible).Si tU auto se siente ahogado cuando le llenas combustible, pierde potencia y demás, es posible que necesites cambiar esta válvula, aunque también se requiere recalibrar. En la agencia según revisaron y no era necesario más que calibrar, pero el problema siguió, y a las dos semanas cambié la pieza y parece que ya no tengo esa falla.
