I was able to install this in a 2002 V6 Mustang. The housing was a little shorter between the frame bracket and the firewall but this is not an issue.The housing is 46 inches from the firewall to the front of the bell housing, not including the portions that insert in. The cable is 60 inches long from the ball at the pedal to the end of the threads.

I've had a few of these now over the last couple decades, FRPP is the only one I trust after going through bbk, steeda etc they all gave to stiff of a pedal. FRPP feels smooth and not too heavy. I had another brand snap on a cold night once. FRPP lasts at least a few years but it was definitely time to replace.

I have used other brand name racing clutch cables on my 1991 Mustang GT, NONE of them have worked as well, or as smooth as this one! Only complaint(and reason for 4 stars) is cable mounting bracket did not line up with mounting hole. I used zip ties to secure cable and have had no issues at all

I installed this cable along with a Ford Motorsport aluminum quadrant and I couldn’t be happier! The required pedal input is so much less that it was before and my GT is shifting great. If you are also doing a quadrant, watch KASL’s video on YouTube and get ready for a battle, especially with that little pawl! It’s all worth it in the end though!

I have my doubts if this is a genuine Ford part. The box indicates that it is, but the item does not say Ford or have any Ford numbers, markings ect. Instead, there is a "Ford Oval" with "HSH" in the area that should say Ford. Also, comparing to my old known Ford Racing cable, there are differences. That said, it appears that it would function.

Great Product. Great Quality. Used for the “Fox Body Style†1979-1993 V8 Mustang. The cable is adjustable on the clutch fork side. This MUST be used if single post aluminum clutch quadrant is used. The cable can be used alone, or in combination an aluminum quadrant and/or firewall adjuster. These parts allow you to dial in (adjust) the level at which the clutch disengages from the pressure plate. Additionally, the adjustable cable makes shifting MUCH smoother and reduces wear and tear on your clutch disk. This is a MUST for anyone with a V8 Manual Transmission Fox Mustang!!!

The last M-7553-C302 lasted 15 years. Hope this one is as good of quality. Exact fit with proper bracket.

2 weeks in. Works great. No sign of stretching, much smoother pedal. Adjustment feature is at bell housing. No need for firewall adjuster with this cable.
