I wanted a simple remote-controlled switch to turn on/off a water fountain pump. This works very well! I'm using the remote from a distance of about 25 feet and have never had it hesitate. Great, simple item.

I use mine to turn my control my shop vac. I use Velcro on the back of the remote to attach it to the top of my miter saw or track saw for dust collection. No bending over between cuts. I first thought that it wouldn’t last very long because it cost so little. I’ve used it a lot for over 3 years and it’s held up well. The remote switch is finally starting wear out. I’m having to press it multiple times to get it to activate. I will be definitely be buying a new one.

OK....this is just a basic item but it works great and makes turning lights (etc). off at a distance a breeze...just point and click. I used for some Christmas decorations plugged in around an in-ground pool area and it saved me from going out and unplugging or using a timer (which if you read reviews most have issues). I also used for an indoor Christmas tree and saved the effort of having to get under tree to unplug. It worked from one level to a lower level without direct line of sight (i.e. through the floor). It's doing all I want it to do.

When this package arrived, I was supposed to go to the company’s website to get the user manual before plugging it in. Well, the website is not very user-friendly and I couldn’t find this particular manual. So I tried to get it working myself and failed.I went back to the website and eventually found the instructions.1. Put the battery in the remote (+ side facing up) and close the battery cover. (This was a bit tricky as the battery kept popping out if I didn’t put it in at a bit of a tilt, and then line up the cover one side at a time to get the notches connected correctly before turning.)2. Click the power button once. The light on the remote will flash red once while you click.3. Plug in the device to a 3-prong outlet and make sure the red light on the device is flashing red slowly.4. While it is still flashing, press the remote button once to pair it to the device.5. Once the device stops flashing red, it is paired to the remote. You can now use the remote to turn the device off and on.6. Plug in your lights (or whatever) and it’s ready to go! Just note that after clicking the button on the remote, it t takes a whole second or so for the lights to come on.I repeated the above steps from the start to pair the second remote. It works well, but I took off one star for the hassle of finding the user manual on the website, and the remotes being so tricky to get the batteries in. I feel like the remotes are very low quality, as if I got them from the dollar store. Hopefully they hold up.

I have two of these units at different locations and they are reliable and work flawlessly. I use both to control outdoor lighting. One of the units started turning on by itself after 4+ years of use. Turns out the problem is the remote button is turning on the unit without being touched or depressed. Removing the battery solved the problem. I will replace this unit with the same item. Four plus years of flawless outdoor operation is a very good value.

Totally does the job. We have accent lights in the backyard. I really thought the distance to turn them on and off was going to be an issue but 50 plus feet away with somewhat of an obstruction they work perfectly.

Purchased this because the string lights that I installed over my back yard deck-railing lack an on-off switch, making it necessary to turn the lights on or off by stooping down to almost floor level and inconveniently reaching for the outdoor plug socket. A simple toggle switch on one end of the string lights would have been a nice touch. It's absence is no doubt a cost-saving measure, albeit minor at that. So, on pondering solutions to this sticky wicket, it occurred to me that there are remote on-off switches out there in the tech-world...it's just a matter of finding one -- where else, of course, but on Amazon.ca. This Fosmon remote outlet on-off switch fit the bill famously, was relatively inexpensive, and boasted plentiful and great reviews on Amazon.ca, so I purchased it. What a perfect solution it turned out to be. Plugged the Fosmon wall unit into the outdoor plug outlet, paired it in seconds with the little hand-held remote unit (looks like a car key fob), plugged the string lights into the wall unit and presto. Works like a charm. Can operate the lights remotely with the press of a button while standing in my kitchen directly off the deck, a distance of a few meters. It will of course work from a much greater distance, and also through brick and glass without a hiccup. Set-up was a breeze, taking about 5 minutes including the time required to insert the remote's battery and the time taken to pair the wall unit with the remote. Set-up instructions are easy to understand. And unlike Ikea purchases, you won't be left with inexplicably-unused bolts or nuts, or wondering from the included instructions whether this piece goes this way, that way or the other way. My only gripe is that as sturdy as the wall unit is (it appears to be very well-built and solid), the remote unit is about as cheap and hollow a piece of plastic as you'll find in some novelty items. It's single button works perfectly, but the remote unit might just as well be made of balsa wood in contrast to the sturdy wall unit. I doubt if it could withstand even a short drop to a hard surface without flying apart. Because it's something that one frequently holds, places down, and picks up, there's lots of opportunity for dropping it; hence my gripe about it's 'el-cheapo' construction. Other than that, the package overall makes for great device and real solution for finger-tip activation of lights or other electronics. Let's hope it lasts.

I have it connected to a Ridgid 6 hp peak shop vacuum it’s working great. Saves walking around turning on the vacuum when you need it.

Me gustó mucho.
