★ Universal design for all camcorders and DSLRs & Industry standard 15mm supporting rods
★ The kit includes one French flag, and two adjustable side wings. Each of the three flaps can be positioned and locked in place so as to suit different focal lengths by providing the maximum amount of shading without getting in the way of the shot.
★ For changing lenses quickly, the unit features a swing away design at a 90 degrees and allow height adjustable. Instead of moving the mounting position of the matte box, (which may be blocked by other rig accessories, or require rod extensions to fit), it can simply be slid outwards with just one screw to undo.
★ A set of 4 “donut” rings are included.(Size at 103mm,76mm,64mm,51mm).By fitting one of these rings, light from the rear of the matte box can be blocked out, leaving only the camera lens protruding through. Donuts are slightly flexible, and the four sizes range to fit almost any lens diameter.
★ 2 Dual-purpose filter trays, supporting 4x4" filter sizes (One of the trays allow rotating 180 degrees)

Cannot go wrong. The carbon pieced ones aren't any smoother than this. DP300 for the win.

A good product to impress clients, but it’s not necessary whatsoever. One problem I had was the weight caused my tripod to keep leaning forward without someone there to hold the cam straight. And the only other problem I had was the allen key bolts would loosen whenever the barn door was adjusted, that was slightly annoying. So I just taped an allen key to the outside of the door so it would be handy.

I am highly disappointed after mounting to my rig and learning that my lens will not center no matter how hard it try to align with the specific donut. If you look at the lens from the front, there is a gap of more than 1/4†(inch). It doesn’t do the job of eliminating light if there is a gap in the donut. Its on a rod system that is lined up and centered to alleviate misalignment. The actual matte box connection arm is milled incorrectly causing this error.

Unfortunately, I decided to return this. The knobs do not secure the flags well so they fall off easily. The 1/4 screws on it loosens very easily. The matte box sits on the rods lopsidedly.

This matte box isn’t perfect but dang it’s great value for what it offers. Two stage 4x4 filter trays, one rotatable. Top brow, side flags, aluminum and plastic feels tough. Having a swing away feature being a part of this is amazing and makes life easier switching lenses. I do wish there was a plastic doughnut design because the foam ones do get deformed easily. The screws for the pivoting of the flags did need to be tightened at first but I’m going to be using this matte box for a while.
