I bought three of these. They are very solid and secure, and I have confidence in using them to adapt bowens mount modifiers to use with my Buff Balcar mount lights. I did have to make a mod to all three of them. They have three small spring clips to help secure the modifier when attaching to the adapter. They made the fit too tight. If I could get them on, I couldn't turn the modifier to lock it into place. It was a quick matter to loosen a few screws and remove two of the spring clips. I left the third. The modifiers now fit fine, and they still click into place when I put them on, and feel very secure.

I've had one of these about 6 months and I just got a second one. I use them to attach heavy metal optical snoots on my Einstein E640s. UNLIKE the Glow adapter, which I used and eventually failed, breaking a Nikon lens that I had attached to the optical snoot, this one actually fits and holds on great. So glad they still sell these.

this item is a fantastic option for attaching Paul C Buff Alien Bee speed ring & soft box to a bowens mount light without having to change out the built in Alien Bee Balcar speed ring - just swap between the attachment to use with bowens/godox light(s) mount or take it off and use again with Alien Bee light !!just be careful of the larger size soft boxes - may (??) not be as sturdy (???) have not tried yet w/ larger PC Buff SB’s

I've been buying lights and accessories with the Bowens mount but that left my Bees out in the cold. These well made adapters allow me to attach my gridded octoboxes to my Bees.

Ok, I have three Paul C. Buff lights and a fav stripbox from them. I was trying to convert that Strip Box to a Bowens mount....not the other way around. These are well made for what they do but I cannot use them for my purpose. So, I just bought a Glow Bowens mount from Adorama.

I was a little skeptical that this product would work but it really does. I am a Paul C. Buff loyalist and have both Alienbees and a Celestial. This thing holds a large Godox octobox without a problem.

I have AlienBees Einstein as main light but I replaced all my modifiers and other lights with Godox which uses the sturdier and more common Bowens mount. This adapter fits the bill.
