You will need to be careful when working with extreme wide-angle lenses as the focusing distance required may be closer to the lens than physically possible (ie you'd hit the front lens element before you achieve focus). This works well, and is a good solid fit. When buying off-brand China-made products such as this, it is always a gamble if the fit and finish will be exact. When you are working with camera equipment, a slight variation in fit can damage your very expensive Japanese or German camera, so this is the primary reason for "5 stars". It doesn't do anything and has no moving parts, so this is the most important point to evaluate.

It is a great & perfect product!I gave it 4 stars just because I received a used product. I decided to test it before return, then I loved it & kept it.I am using it on my EOS R, with 24-105 F4 prime lens. it starts focusing from 35mm up to 105mm. More over by changing the aperture I got different depth of fields, the closer the more DF.I noticed the focal length is not fixed & I can move backward & forward to find the best view & frame for the shot. Sharpness is great as well as auto focus which is fast.Thanks to EOS R tilt monitor, I shot a selfie-eye, you can see the focus point is not what expected but the sharpness is fine. in the second picture I am trying to give you an over view of Depth of Field by different apertures.I didnt use any pro-lighting equipment because I dont have any, just have a police torch with bluish color tone.Finally I was about to spend around 700 USD for a 100mm F2.8 Macro lens but decided to give this tube a try.if infinity focusing is not important for you it is a perfect product.If you find this review useful, please follow me on instagram, @raw_shooter777

This is a good solid Extension Tube. No play at all on my R5. Just be aware it doesn't come with caps.

Used with Canon EOS-R (obviously!) and RF 24-105 F4L kit lens. I bought the 15mm and 30mm Macro Extension tubes together. Autofocus works well with both extenders. I haven't done anything more than a few quick tests to make sure stuff works, but depth of field is quite shallow with the 15mm tube, and very shallow with the 30mm. I have yet to try with both tubes together. With the 15mm tube, autofocus works throughout the focal length range. With the 30mm tube, autofocus works well from 105mm down to 50mm. At 50mm, autofocus begins to get a bit bolshy, and at around 40mm does not work at all. This is because the furthest point of focus has moved so close, that it is now inside the lens.The tubes are very solidly built, being of all-metal construction. The tubes look well engineered and machined. The fit to the EOS-R body and to the lens is very tight and sturdy, but still easy to attach. They are an excellent partner to any RF lens, and especially the L-series, as the quality feels similar.These tubes have no optical elements, so the image quality that you get will depend entirely upon the lens that you use.

This product is good but it does not fit on my RF 35mm f/1.8 Macro lens. There is a design fault which does not allow to couple with this lens. I have to wait longer until new improved version available in future. I have informed suppliers about this fault and waiting for their response.
