This Auto Macro Extension Tube is an automatic tube that communicates all electronic functions from the lens to camera, including auto-focus and auto-exposure. Macro extension tubes are a wonderful alternative to expensive macro lenses. By placing distance between your camera body and lens, focusing distance is shortened and the effect of magnifying your subject is created. Because no optical components are added into this extension tube, the image preserves the original optical properties of the lens. Adding an extension tube increases the effective aperture, reducing the amount of light entering the camera, which means you will need to use either a longer shutter speed or higher ISO to compensate for the loss of light. Macro extension tubes are an affordable and simple way to turn any existing lens into a macro lens. Fuji G-Mount Mirrorless Camera such as: GFX 50S, GFX 50RNotes: * Extension tubes work best with short to medium focal lengths, they are less effective with telephoto lenses* Extra magnification also magnifies camera shake as well as the subject, tripod use is recommended* Be sure to use the smallest aperture (largest number) on your lens to give you adequate depth-of-field for better quality images* Different lens lengths will require a different distance to be used from the subject, if the subject is not in focus move the camera closer or further from the subject until the subject comes into focus* The effectiveness of extension tubes decreases as focal length increases. You will need to be careful when working with extreme wide-angle lenses as the focusing distance required may be closer to the lens than physically possible (ie you'd hit the front lens element before you achieve focus)* All pictures are for illustration purposes only. Actual product may vary slightly due to ongoing improvements in design.

I use this with a Pentax 80-160mm lens (for the 645Z) on my Fujifilm GFX 50S. The fit at both the lens and body end feels solid - no wiggle. I haven't noticed any change in effective focal length or light transmission, but I haven't honestly tested for this - it is just my feeling from having been using it for a couple months or so.Keep in mind that you will lose both auto focus and auto aperture control. In fact, no aperture information is provided to the body at all, so the data on all of your image files will show either f/0 or f/1. If you think you will need to know your aperture setting later on, you'll need to make a record of it yourself. Also, to manually set your aperture, you'll need to adjust your lens' aperture ring AND the aperture ring on the adapter. At least that is what my quick testing has shown. If you forget one or the other, you'll likely get an unwanted exposure. In the end, I'm just glad to be able to continue to use a lens for which Fuji has no alternative.

It’s exactly what you would expect. Works just fine, decent fit that doesn’t wobble once mounted.

Despite my having both cameras with the same setting, I can take wonderful photos on my Fujifilm GFX50s but can't snap a photo on GFX100s. I'll keep working on it. The Hasselblad x-pan 45 mm lens produces more detailed photos than it did on the original Hasselblad 35mm camera and a more than my are Fujifilm 45 mm dedicated lens. It's great to use this lens on the incredible medium format Fujifilm GFX.

So, this thing works, well. It's pretty straightforward. You put it on the camera, put the lens on the mount, done. But taking lenses off of it is quite annoying. There is a little tab that you depress to get the lens off, but you have to move the lens around, back and forth, usually many times to find the spot where the lens will come free. Its not a huge deal once you know how it works. But I spent a good amount of time thinking my mount was broken and unable to get the lens off for quite a while. One of the issues is that there is no feedback when you depress the tab. It doesn't feel like it has opened anything to allow the lens to come off. Couple that with the fact that finding the spot where the lens releases, and without knowing this you are in for a bad day.It also comes with no box or instructions, so that makes it even worse. But once you have all of that down, its fine.

This Fotodiox adapter is just fine. The Pentax lenses lock on well with no play that I could discern and there is no issue with focus all the way too infinity which means it's been designed properly with the correct flange to lens distance. It's stupid heavy but what do you expect for this excellent price. Plus at least a heavy camera takes out a lot of hand shake on longer exposure shots.

Works pretty well as an adapter but it isn't worth the price. For one, the locking pin rod keeps falling out. The locking pin keeps the lens from stopping and locking in place. Shotty design, slight play in mount. The tripod mount is the strongest part of the lens, and it gets in the way. And now the whopper… no infinity focus. Avoid at all cost.

Fabulous adaptor for the price. I use it with a Zeiss 85 planar on my Gfx 50R. It works flawlessly until there's any real moisture in the air. I shot a session in the mountains outside Seattle and there was some cold rain that started up and the adaptor started to cause faulty operation of the camera. However, the K+F adaptor seems to not cause the same issues (I have that adaptor for a Voigtalnder 58 Nokton). Point being it's a solid adaptor but has physical element limitations. I wouldn't use it if there's any rain or heavy humidity.
