About the only negative thing I can say is I had to wait 2 weeks for it to come from China but when it came I unpacked it and am impressed. I chose to mount it on my Canon R so had to use my RF to EF adapter which is not a big deal. I chose to use my Canon 40mm f/2.8 pancake lens as it is nice and compact and close to the Nifty Fifty that many others swear by. Only problem I had is the filter thread for my lens is only 52mm. Rather than track down a reverse ring adapter that would work I just got a 52mm to 72mm step up ring and used the supplied 72mm reverse ring with it to attach them both to the lens. The cord is an old fashioned coiled one like an old land line phone has. Kind of wish they could have come up with a lighter weight thinner cable but in the end it's ok.Need to get out and test it but it's been close to 100 every day outside so I will when it cools down a bit!

This does the trick for reversed lenses. I put it on a Canon 40mm pancake lens and it works great. The auto focus is terrible, but I think that has more to do w/the lens than reverse mount. I am, however, able to adjust my f-stops automatically with this.

This product works well. I am using it with a reversed Canon 18 to 55mm kit lens on an old Canon XTi. Using a flash and softbox I have, with practice, begun to get some amazing macro shots. The one attached is of aphids on a pot plant shot at f16, 200th of a second. I am sure with more practice my efforts will improve. I agree with other reviewers that he cable attaching the two tubes is a little thick but is easy enough to use with a bit of practice.

I know this was featured in a YouTube video on how to build a 2.5x macro rig and got great results, but I can't get this thing to focus my 28-70 lens. The lens continually hunts for focus and never locks on. Handheld, tripod, doesn't matter. I have much better luck with the Kenko extension tubes and the lens connected normally. I'm returning this for a refund... Autofocus works with reversed lenses allowing use of regular lenses for macro photography. I would have given 5 stars but this device loses contact and causes camera error not often enough to be a problem just a minor annoyance. I would recommend this product to others learning macro photography on a budget.

The 58mm adapter ring is too big for the canon 58mm filter mount, does not fit, and you need a 58mm-58mm adapter ring to attach the lens to the tube which is not included, and even if it were included would probably not fit.
