Because this whistles can be heard for long distances. Very good quality and light weight, you can rely in the woods, off hiking or I’ve used these whistles in salt water sports. It’s a good measure of safety for all purposes. I give them to the lady’s in my family and they carry them in there peruses in case of any bad situations that may occur!!!

The shrill of this whistle is very loud and high pitched. The students know when I blow the whistle, I mean business! It does hurt my ears, though. I love the silicone mouth grip and the color.

The Purple color is vibrant which makes it easy to find in my coaching bag. The mouth grips make reffing multiple games a day easier on your cheek muscles. Nice and loud whistle, even in really large events it can be heard by the whole court.

I’m a 39 yr old PE teacher, I do not chew my whistle… I’m too old for that nonsense but it looks like I chewed it and I have not, it’s just that poor of quality after 7 weeks use it’s fallen apart simply from saliva and repeated use. My kids HATE the sound of it. It hurts their ears. I wish I could get a refund on this, it was a waste of my money. I need to order a new PE whistle and it won’t be from Fox 40z
