We needed whistles to clip on to our kayak vests. It was nice to find a set instead of individual items. My six year old was more than happy to test them out. They seem sturdy, safe and durable.

Always need this for your watercraft. I have my kids wear them around their neck when in the water. Great safety tool.

After seeing the report about the family of a hiker (died hiking alone, i think) giving these out - to prevent future tragedies... I decided to get extra ones for myself.There are certainly louder whistles, but it's pretty loud. I have these attached to my open water swim gear, PFD, hiking & backcountry gear etc. One on each "thing" & i don't have to find it & attach when i go out. They're small, loop on easily & if I ever need one (hope not) - it will be accessible. At such a low price point, it's easy to get a bunch & put them with your various gear - so, you won't forget it... and regret it.

They satisfy CG requirements for boating regulations in my state, and they're inexpensive, but I wouldn't want to depend on them in an emergency situation - they're not very loud. You have to blow considerably hard to produce a moderately loud whistle. Hence the 3 stars.

Took all of the grandkids camping and I felt better knowing they had these... one had to use it cuz he got turned around when he went for a bush wee... loud perfect and rugged

Diese Pfeife ist ein super Begleiter bei allen Outdoor Aktivitäten.- Sie ist klein und leicht- Robust- Hohe Sichtbarkeit- Extrem laut!Schon mit wenig Kraft / Puste erzeugt diese Signal- oder Sicherheitspeife einen sehr lauten Ton. Dabei entsteht sogar eine Art "Doppelton" auf zwei leicht unterschiedlichen Frequenzen. Ich weiß nicht ob dies beabsichtig ist oder durch minimale Abweichungen in der Fertigung entstanden ist, aber ich finde es super, da hierdurch der Ton noch prägnanter wird.Die Pfeife kommt mit einem Band, so dass man sie sicher um den Hals, Rucksack oder Gürtelschlaufe tragen kann. Dazu hat sie noch einen Klipp, so dass man sie auch leicht an Kleidung oder Gegenständen befestigen kann.Ein tolles Produkt, welches zusätzlich zur Sicherheit bei Outdoor Aktivitäten beitragen kann indem in Notsituationen man mit wenig Kraftaufwand weitreichend auf sich aufmerksam machen kann.
