We bought several Fox 40 Sonik Blast whistles for our family, and they’ve been fantastic for safety. My mom keeps one with her while working in the garden or walking in the woods, and it’s perfect for getting attention quickly if needed. I have one for hiking to alert others in case of wildlife encounters, and I keep another with me when skiing in the trees for added safety.The Sonik Blast is incredibly loud and effective—definitely loud enough to be heard from a distance. It’s a reliable tool for any outdoor activity where safety is a concern.

No really, I have been around some pretty loud equipment all my life and have signs of hearing loss. Got this in to use for Search and Rescue requirements and tried it out first thing. All I gotta say is that I gave a few blows and was satisfied with the tone and sound level it puts out. But then I REALLY gave it a blow and immediately my ears starting ringing. Says it could be heard a mile away and I am not doubting that. Seems to be well made, minus the lanyard which fell apart before I could even put it on the whistle but that's an easy/cheap fix.

I have been using the original Fox 40 Adults' Classic Offical Whistle for the last 5 years and have always been a fan of the volume and quality of the whistle. My whistle has lasted the test of time and still functions as it did when I purchased it. I wanted the mouth guard and something with visibility since I direct traffic everyday during rush hour in Houston. Since the Sonik Blast adverstised 120dB I was sold for a replacement.Wow! I did not think I would be able to tell the difference and oh boy was I wrong!! I immediately was pleased with my purchase and am a very satisfied customer! The mouth guard is a very nice addition to the whistle as my last one has some nice wear from my teeth over the last few years.

Very good whistle, the color is nice and bright. It's also very loud (120-125 decibels) one of the loudest whistles I've used, it's also easy to blow. One problem: when I was refereeing a middle school soccer game, I noticed that the whistle doesn't produce a uniform blast when you blow it while running. I don't have this problem with the Molten Valkeen whistle (125+ decibels with 2 interfering frequencies) as it always produces a uniform blast. Unlike the Sonik Blast, the pitch and volume of the Valkeen are easily changed in order to convey my emotion effectively. At $45-$60, the Valkeen is probably out of your price range for a whistle, (In my opinion it's worth it) but the Fox 40 Sonik Blast at around $8 is a suitable alternative for much less. Also consider the many variations of the Fox 40 Classic (Classic, Classic Eclipse, Epik)(All 115 decibels) and also think about the Fox 40 Sharx,(120 decibels) all of those are very good whistles, but at a more affordable price than the Valkeen. Bottom Line: Very good, affordable, one of the best whistles I've used, but not the very best.

I was a fan of the Fox 🦊 40 Classic but after testing this SONIC I was really impressed. It gives me the volume I need and I think I’ll be getting some for the kids and family to keep on hand as a safety device and for emergencies.

I coach Pop Warner Football and needed a whistle. This thing works wonders!! I WOULD NOT use this for indoors or close quarters! It is so loud, it will ring your ears if your within a few feet. One of my coaches uses the electronic, handheld push button whistle, and the kids sometimes ignore that whistle. When I blow this thing here, everyone within a mile hears this dang whistle!!! Highly recommend for any outdoor sport or even for lifeguards. You will be very happy that you bought this one. Cover your ears!! Hahaha!!!

As a new PE teacher my daughter needed a whistle, she wanted a red one.Read lots of reviews both on Amazon & elsewhere 'Fox 40 Sonic Blast' always came at the top, found it in red on Amazon so brought it as a gift.She absolutely loves it, so loud that all the kids stop even at a busy lunch time in the playground. It's so good the other long standing PE teachers have dumped off their cheap whistles & brought one.
