I have 2 mini Bernedoodles who have poultry/fowl allergies and it’s so hard to find a product they can use. We took a chance on this one and let me tell you, after they eat, it looks like I washed their bowls! They absolutely love it. The value for the money is well worth it. It is very good quality and you can actually see the beef and vegetables! The portions in the containers are average size so for our purpose and the amount our dogs eat, we can only use it as a topper because it isn’t cheap. It’s versatile in the fact you can use it as a topper or as the main meal. The dogs health has improved and their coats even softer than before with no stomach issues! It’s strange looking the first time you open it because it’s much different than your traditional wet but it’s because of the quinoa. I think it smells as it probably should in the way of not a gross smell but definitely better than most wet dog food smells. Our dogs eat 1 cup of dry 2-3 times a day so we put a teaspoon mixed in so we get about 2 days of topper (6 meals) out of one container. I like that it is good for all life stages. The only down side is sometimes it’s very dry and sometimes it’s very soupy so the consistency is not the same which makes it concerning.

Our dog is 14 years old. She stopped eating her morning dry food and became more lethargic. We use Top Shelf as a dry food topper. One carton is added over three morning meals. Our dog loves every bite!

We just started giving our furry guy the Top Shelf Dog chicken meal. This is the real deal and we love that he is getting wholesome ingredients — real chicken, green beans, and quinoa (it smells good too!). Our dog really enjoys it (we use it as a complete meal) and we appreciate the high quality of the food and thoughtfulness that was put into the ingredients, packaging, portion size, and convenience. He has a sensitive stomach and can be picky, but devours this food. Looks like we found a winner and will definitely be buying more!

We used this as a topper for our dogs daily kibble. He likes some variety and this had a nice amount per box. Adding this to our rotation.

Top Shelf Dog came highly recommend from a friend so we thought we’d give it a try for our 3-year old mix and 10-year old Beagle. Both girls absolutely LOVED it and begged for seconds! What we loved:✨ Shelf stable packs don’t need to be refrigerated until opened✨ You can actually see the whole ingredients used and understand the nutritional label✨ Great option as a topper to add a little something extra to dry food✨ Doesn’t have the awful smell/look of some wet foodsAs a small (but thoughtful) bonus, the package folds in on itself to seal before popping in the fridge which is way easier than trying to cover canned wet food.We will definitely be repurchasing in the near future!

I never write product reviews, but when a product makes your life so much easier - I need to share!!I have a 140lb Mastiff/Lab mix and I use the Top Shelf beef as a topper for his dry food. I've tried other fresh dog food brands and gave up because it was too much effort and the food kind of grossed me out. I love Top Shelf because the packaging is small enough that it makes storing it easy and I live in an apartment and freezer/fridge space is tight. I also love that it doesn't require defrosting so I don't have to plan ahead or do any kind of prep. And it LOOKs and SMELLS like real food. You can see the ingredients clearly in the product and I love that i don't have to worry about it expiring.Makes me feel good that my dog is getting proper nutrition. He also has a sensitive stomach and hasn't had any issues since I've introduced this into his diet.

The dogs love it. One box = 4 small breed meals.

I usually buy Just Food For Dogs boxed food for my dog, but she is extremely picky and gets bored with food quickly so I'm always trying new foods. These are very similar to Just Food, but a lower price, so I was hoping she would enjoy it. Unfortunately, she won't eat it by itself. She will if I mix a small amount in with other food, so they will get used, but this is just my dog's "opinion". If someone is looking to upgrade from dry kibble all the time, I would definitely recommend giving this stuff a try before going to the super expensive "homemade style" foods! For the price, it's worth trying; and if your dog doesn't care for it alone they may eat it mixed with kibble or another soft food so it wouldn't go to waste.
