I recently enclosed my small patio to protect my four chihuahuas from coyotes. So now the issue how do they pee? They were raised on grass outside not pee pads and I wanted them to continue going out of there doggie door and have an area to sunbathe. Bought the tray and run to Home Depot for the grass at $6, it’s PERFECT. Most of the time they do their business on the grass, not 100% but we are working on it, but they do go 100% all of them outside the house and that was the goal. So far used for one month. The tray fits a 2x4 piece of sod perfectly. Sure I still have clean up, I rinse the patio with pool water every morning, I do have to pick up the poop or else they won’t use it. I just changed the grass today , bleached the tray, rinsed good and put in the fresh grass. Sure it’s work but so much easier than pee pads, and my cleanup has decreased somewhat. I think I still have one dog who is rogue, who just poops everywhere in the patio, but we will get there. And it looks so much better than pee pads. I water the grass every couple of days, I even cut the grass once. But by 4-5 weeks it’s best to change it. If the tray wears out due to harsh weather I would definitely buy again! The tray does have a good lip to hold in urine and water from watering it. Best of all the dogs have a place to sun, and a place to do their business outside the house.*** update ****. sod became too hard to get locally. so I bought some fake grass, cut it to size, and put 2 pee pads underneath one xxl and one regular size. I think the live grass got them used to it, so when I switched it, dogs were ok with it. I clean once a week now with enzyme or bleach, pick up poop daily, or several times daily. Working from home makes it easier to pick up poop,, but if I ever go back full-time, I'll buy another tray for them.

I use this for my dog’s pee pads. Works great! I just wash in shower with antibacterial soap and rinse. Very strong plastic!

I purchased this as the bottom tray to my tortoise enclosure. I watched a lot of YouTube videos on enclosures and some people used bags for easy clean up or flex seal, but I thought I'd use a crate tray for ease and longevity. The tray i purchased is 4ftx2ft and the enclosure is pretty big for my growing tortoise. My husband custom built an closure based off the tray and it's fabulous and not cheap like other pet store "cages."

This tray is the cheapest I found in this size. The grass sold by this brand is way expensive but I used both real grass and now plastic grass in this tray. It does the job! I do recommend a pee pad between the grass and the tray for easy cleanup. Before that I was just taking the grass and tray outside to rinse it with the hose. With the pad, it's really easy to just wipe it down

I bought the grass patches first and it was really messy without the gray. This gray holds two of the bigger patches. Very easy to use and practical!

Pretty expensive for a plastic tray, but is the perfect size for the pieces of sod sold at home improvement stores. It is sturdy, contains the dirt and pee and fresh grass can be changed out and recycled in green waste. We bought the larger size for our balcony and it works for both our 3 and 7 month old puppies. They both potty trained quickly using this. Very convenient!

This tray is nice and long which is great for my fast growing pup. However, there is no drainage hole so if you forget to dump it after your dog goes and pees and it rains - it is hard to lift without spilling pee water all over the place. It is impossible if you're on a non-1st floor apartment. Really wish it had a drainage hole.I wouldn't get this if you aren't going to wipe up pee every single time.Might drill a hole in the center and build a platform to drain into a bucket.

I needed a crate for a lab puppy and everything was too small or too expensive with a lot of plastic. I got the Petmaker 30"H metal dog playpen and took two sections off it to turn it into a crate. This tray made the perfect base. The whole thing was less than $100. Now my pup has enough room to stretch out and sit up without issues when we are away. The tray is firm and strong. I could not ask for a better fit.
