Take a quick look around the device, and you can see how the turning of the barrel with a 45degree twist will allow the gate to be pushed open. Once released, the carabiner will auto-close and lock.

  • All FresKaro carabiners are designed to last at least ten years; with good maintenance and TLC, you can expect a great deal of life from our devices. We only use 7075 AL on our devices which are machine stamped and not molded.

  • Depending on your usage of the carabiner, use a dry waxed-based lubricant to clean the hinge area, where the spring is located. Always wash your carabiner after contact with salt water or salt air. Remove any tiny particles of grit or dirt.

  • On every production cycle, we do a test on the destruction of >3 units to ensure our kN rating on every batch. The UIAA achieved >27kN, and we marked it at 25kN. This gives a healthy 10% margin of error either way. UIAA states a minimum 20kN.

  • To ensure safety, regularly inspect for damage, check gate closure, and follow diagram guidelines given with the supplied booklet for proper use. Seek qualified and professional advice before using in dangerous conditions.

  • Always use a the locking carabiner, double-check the gate is locked, and ensure proper alignment to prevent cross-loading. Be sure you are using climbing rope for your application use.

I work in ariel rigging for entertainment, I would trust these carabiners as tool leashes, Chalk bags, or to hold up non essential connections (tying off a rope with no load, security carabine for a petzl trax), I know the price-point looks attractive for these and they have the rating but they are missing the ANSI and CE ratings for use in an industrial environment, I would not use these for anything involving load carrying applications (Ascenders, Descenders, Belay, Positioning,Haul systems, Pulleys ETC.) but for accessories these are fantastic

The colors are as show in the photos. Black, red, gray, and yellow. Carabiner works well and is clearly labeled. Got a pack of three.they come in a black pouch to stop moisture from getting in.

I have some new safety ropes, a safety harness, and a couple of lanyards that I plan to use while some work on my roof. I needed some additional carabiner for all this rigging. I search a little an amazon and found FresKaro. The review seem very positive so decided to give them a chance.They appear to be very well made and stout. Time will tell if they hold, but if they dont, I might not be around to update my review. For now they seem to be fit my needs perfectly.Pros:- easy to open one handed- lightweight- comes in 3-pack- appear to be very stout, sturdy, and safeCons:- noneWould I purchase again/recommend them: Yes!
