Installation List
Tip 1
Please use a flathead screwdriver for easy installation.
Tip 2
Don't attempting to compress the struts before installing.
Tip 3
Before installing hood struts, prop up your front heavy hood by a rod or helper to stay away from harm.
Tip 4
There might a little stiff when hood struts first runing. You just need cycle the hood up and down for a couple of few times, it will smothly as OEM.

These hood struts were easy to install: threaded on the end plastic end pieces, propped up the hood, popped off old struts one at a time, and popped on new ones. Seem stronger than (admittedly 24 year old) original struts.

2001 Honda Accord. I feel foolish that I used a hood prop stick for years. Great price, and truly a 5-minute installation. The open hood now feels rock solid. Note to someone who had to loosen the end cap unit to line up the ball socket; not needed. Attach the bottom socket first. Then line up the top end, and turn the end cap clockwise until it lines up to the socket; it feels stiff, but the thin shaft will turn to lineup.

Holes lined up correctly. Part worked fine, and held the hood, as it should. No instructions, but it was easy to figure out. It should have come with a simple one page instruction.

The struts work well as expected. The only issue I have with them is that when the plastic caps are screwed tight, they don't line up well to the mounting point on the hood. So I had to thread in the caps a bit loose to make them easy to latch on the hood.
