We dry a lot of fruit. As such, we've tried many different slicers. This is the ONLY product that didn't fail us. The others would mush the fruit and were difficult to use. Not this one. It slices many times faster, produces consistently sized slices, and is MUCH more durable. With the others, they had wire cutters that stretched or wobbled and yielded poor specimens. If you tried slicing a very firm strawberry, it might even break those flimsy wires. Not with this product. It uses blades that are sharper than the wires, never get dull (I suppose at some point they will get dull but we've not reached that point yet), and thus produce consistently sized slices...which is important when drying.This is our workhorse slicer.

The fruit has to be pretty firm or you just end up mashing it. Cutting fresh ripe strawberries didn’t go as planned. It does a good job with kiwi but so far that’s all I’ve really found that works for us. I have other kitchen tools for hard fruit and veggies. We’ll see what else I can find to use it for.

Was slicing strawberries and bananas and it was only my 2nd or 3rd time using it and two blades came out. Poor quality and design.

Love this product for its function. It's small and easy to use, but it is not easy to clean between the blades and for me that knocks off a star. I will use it 100%, but wish cleaning was easier. The blades are very sharp, which is great, but adds to the cleaning woes.

Works as it's should with softer fruits and veggies! Love it!!

Pretty cheap, but it only really works on softer foods like strawberries. Anything harder than that bends the blades. It's also small, so you can't cut much at one time. Mine came with a crack in it. I would buy a different brand.

This little guy chops nicely but the bottom is not flush with the counter so the last chopped veggie doesn't come out and has to be pushed out. The blades are not easy to clean either. There is no top to store food in for a little while. But all that said, I like it and will make adjustments.
