This gas cap is like the oem except it does not have the cap strap to the body like the oem cap. The locking mechanism works very well.

Be careful. This locking gas cap DOES NOT FIT the 2024 Jeep Wrangler XE despite description online. It does not fit.

Piece of junk, almost impossible to unlockHas directions written on cap for how to unlock and the directions don’t work. Get another brand. if you like being at a gas station almost out of gas and you are unable to get the gas cap off then get this one!Worse than garbage. Even when it was new on the first day it was a piece of junk. I struggled by with this cap for about 6 months but should have dumped it in the beginning. It also has an irregular key blank that Ace Hardware didn't have among their hundreds of key blanks.

There's something funky about how this fits/ works. The word that comes to mind is " IFFY ". Then the thought of it not unlocking when you are low on gas. I'm going to try and get past the iffy feel of how it goes on and off. . But it's possible I won't and it gets trashed. And I'll buy a more expensive one at a parts place local. I think it was tried on as many cars and trucks as possible and no matter how well it worked. If it went on and off. They called it good. 2006 F150 ,,, iffy..

Works great but a little hard to tighten all the way. When I first put it on check gas cap light came on. Had to disconnect the battery to reset computer so light would go off. After making sure gas cap was on all the way no more problems.

After verifying that it would be compatible with my vehicle I ordered it. Upon fitting it in, the key immediately got jammed. I couldn't get the key out of the cap out. Eventually I did get it out and gave it another try. It got jammed again. Had to get a mechanic to remove it the second time.
