My apartment maintenance replaced my water heater, and broke the hose connecting to the dryer. The clamp they'd been using had an actual screw to tighten and loosen it, and it was 3 inches and too small for my dryer vent. No wonder it cracked and broke. I bought these, and what a steal! It literally took me less than 2 minutes to connect the hose and get this bad boy tightened up and it holds the hose fantastic and tight. Immediately worked!

I bought these so that I could add and remove without tools. They worked great. The width is narrower than a standard hose clamp of same diameter but it still works perfectly.

The thumb screw makes these simpler to install then those that need a screwdriver or socket to adjust. Installation is affected not just by these clamps, but also by the hose and the connector being inserted into the hose. The only concern I have, which only time will tell, is the teeth on these clamps are indented, not cut, and I can see the possibility of a clamp being over-tightened and stripping out on the indented teeth. The one per-caution against the possible stripping is to never use a tool to tighten, just finger strength.

LONG STORY SHORT:Bought these to connect a 4" Jointer dust collection flange to a 4" to 2.5" reducer...hoping that the two would connect together without a Hose Connector. They did not...(probably could have seen that coming) so I bought a hose connector, and switched out the Phillips head clamps for these Thumb Screw Key ones. They work great. Honestly...I would have been fine with the Phillips head ones because I never remove these pieces, but I was glad to save approximately 2 minutes of my life by thumb screwing it instead of the TERRIBLE inconvenience of finding a screw driver ;)I like em. I'm keepin em.

A new twist on an old design. I love that a larger durable plastic thumbscrew is used on this steel hose clamp with a worm gear. I have a grown family that looks to me to be their "fixer & handyman" and these are the only 4" hose clamps I use for their dryer vents, bathroom and kitchen fan replacements because they can quickly go on and off, reused over and over and quickly adjusted without any tools, just ones fingers. The price is worth the ease of use and features. What more can one ask for?

I purchased this product so that I could connect a wood chip bag to my planer. However, you cannot twist the screws tight enough to make it stay on. I ended up buying large hose clamps to replace these.

Not overly heavy but good enough. When you tighten, the thumb tab hits the metal band so is a little annoying.

This might not be specifically for these clamps, but for my use, the thumb grip would catch on the end of the clamp as I was tightening it. A bit of a pain where a regular clamp and screw driver might have been easier and faster.Might be easier to keep the tail end of the clamp out the way if I use in a different application where I have a free hand to use.

For hose clamping. This version makes it easier to access hose when hose needs to be cleaned out
