I have a Shelby winch 5405 (Shelby is out of business and could not find replacement), I had caught a comment about this handle may fit. The hole is cut perpendicular instead of parallel like original and hole was slightly smaller. I took a carbide bit and routed it out a little (it was very close) and seem to fit fine and was a lot cheaper than replacing whole unit. I have not actually tested winch because it is past boating season in Iowa. Handle was 1 inch longer but seems tight and strong.
