Your cart is empty.The Fusion Climb FP-8122-ST Vapor III Carabiner is popular among climbers, caver and mountain rescuers for providing most of the benefits without the weight and bulkiness. This carabiner features an aluminum body which is significantly lighter than steel and therefore far more popular in the outdoor climbing industries where weight is a major factor. Featuring a non-locking gate for general use and when clipping quickly is important. All non-locking carabiners are spring-loaded to ensure immediate gate closure upon release. This straight gate design is most commonly used, this straight gate tends to be stronger in nature then a bent gate design. This carabiner had a key nose, which does not have a notch like traditional pin nose designs. The advantage of having a key nose carabiner is that there is no notch to snag onto anything while clipping or unclipping. This carabiner displays a modified “D” shape which helps to push the load to the back of the spine. Allowing the weight to be carried primarily by the spine and less by the gate– making for a stronger and lighter use. Rated Strength of 26 kN.

The build quality on these are great and haven't failed me yet. I have 3 fusion clips currently and this is my first matte finish one. I use it daily for hanging my slingbag. I just wish they also made smaller ones for keychains.

Would gladly buy from this supplier again. Bought this climbing safety gear for my only son. I take comfort in the quality that I found in this gear. Delivery took longer than indicated, like everything else lately. But item is better than expected, which is rare and nice to say. When ordering supply was limited, "hurry". Delivery: 4 of what I ordered and 4 upgrades. More vendors should act this way. I am beginning to wonder what "in stock" means to Amazon, but what it meant to this supplier is that I got 4 of what I ordered, and 4 better items from what I ordered. Hurrah. Perhaps the best overall transaction with Amazon ever, and that is from a big pool of transactions.

Well designed. It improved a lot from the last version (Vapor ii). Great rope bearing roundness, better snag-free nose design, good wide gate opening size.

Love this biner in my hunting setup. I really like that it doesn't snag my ropes or other gear with keyed nose. Makes it easy for one handed use when ascending trees. I also like the matte finish, but it does make it hard to find if you drop one in the leaves or brush. Overall great purchase.
