I've never used a garlic saver before, but I have wanted something better than the hanging wire basket I've been using because it's messy (cloves slip through the basket, dropping skin onto the counter, getting stuck, etc.).I've also had issues with garlic drying out and/or sprouting because I don't go through it very quickly.Time will tell whether or not this improves quality, but until then, it sits on my counter & I love it because my garlic finally has a dedicated place.Notably, it is larger than I expected, and to me, the black ceramic looks weird with a light bamboo lid, but my Mom thinks it's pretty, and the look has been growing on me over time.While I do not use elephant garlic, I'm pretty sure it is large enough to hold it, with its 3 inch diameter & 4 inches of height (see photo).

This ceramic garlic container is very cute. It's simple and understated yet decorative. From the photos, you can see that although the container is on the smaller side and doesn't take up much counter space (a real plus!), it fits a lot of garlic. It's so nice to be able to hide our garlic in such an attractive and practical way. I'm impressed by how well-contoured and glazed the container is, with a nicely curved bottom that has air holes to help keep the cloves fresh. The smooth, lightweight wood lid is a delight--it lifts on & off easily and is grooved to fit the ceramic container perfectly. Even the flourish of letters spelling out "garlic" adds a cozy, homespun touch. I would definitely choose this garlic saver again and recommend it highly.

The garlic container is a good looking jar with a wooden lid. It has some hole in the lower section to allow venting. So far so good. I started with some medium sized garlic bulbs. I could barely put three of them inside without closing the lid. So I peeled the cloves out, removing some of the extra skin and roots. This way it packed a bit more dense and the lit closes. We cook a lot with garlic. When we get it from the discounter the package has at least 10 bulbs so I can only put a fraction of that package into the jar. For me it needs to be a bit bigger.For smaller kitchen the jar is fine. It does have a small footprint.As the add says you can put other stuff inside as well. That is true but then they should provide the jars not only with the "Garlic" print. I would get another one for ginger etc.I like the white one, though the jar comes in multiple color choices. You can pick your favorite.

This garlic jar is nice quality, made of sturdy ceramic with perfect glossy finish all around and clear and clean lettering on the front. I was surprised to see that the ventilation holes along the bottom are only on the front, not all around. The lid is nice bamboo with clean, pretty smooth edges. Unfortunately, the lid doesn’t fit the jar very well - it is quite loose, and falls right off if the jar is tipped. I with it had a thin silicone ring around the inner layer that would secure the lid to the jar.Also I was really annoyed with the inner packing materials. I dislike styrofoam in general - but the jar was so wedged into the styrofoam block that I had to break the styrofoam into pieces in order to get the jar out - and of course, styrofoam bits were everywhere! (So hard to clean up.)

Finally! a garlic saver I can get behind! This is one of those things where simple is hard. Every garlic container I have ever seen was either ugly or too big. I don't need something that holds a ridiculous amount of fresh garlic. I also don't have the space for something that isn't being used to its full potential. I live in an old house with a postage stamp kitchen. This product is small, holds 3 garlic heads comfortably, and is simple and effective. I also like that it's attractive, but the dark color aids in keeping the garlic fresh. There really isn't anything bad to say about this. It's exactly what I was looking for!

I was happy to find this ceramic garlic saver. We use a lot of garlic and needed this . It's the perfect size for countertop use—compact and space-efficient while still holding a good amount of garlic cloves. The ceramic is heavier than I expected and it feels durable.Not only is it functional, but it’s also attractive, adding a touch of charm to the kitchen without being obtrusive. This garlic jar is made of well-finished ceramic with a wooden lid. It has ventilation holes to help keep the garlic from getting moldy while the lid blocks light that would encourage the garlic to sprout. I appreciate that the lid is wood rather than ceramic. I needed to order this item because I dropped and broke the ceramic lid of my old garlic jar. I also like the jar’s wide top, making it able to accommodate large garlic bulbs and making it easy to wash.
