There is nothing wrong with the brake vacuum hose. It was just mislabeled. The packaging is labeled Gates 27232 11/32 hose, which is what I ordered and what fits my wife's 1991 4Runner. The package contained Gates 15/32 hose, marked on the hose as such and way too large in diameter to fit the 4Runner. Also, the three foot length was going to be a stretch to make it work, even if it were the right diameter, which it wasn't. In the end it was easier to just buy the Gates 11/32 brake vacuum hose by the foot from O'Reilly. (Gates 27230 by the foot.) Amazon made it right and refunded my money. They didn't even want the mislabeled 15/32 hose back.

This is top quality vacuum line! I am pleased that this line is available as many of the quickie auto parts stores do not stock this line. However, the available 3' length is somewhat limiting so be sure to order sufficient pieces and barbed connectors if your application requires more than 3'.

Bought this for my 1975 F250 4x4 and it fit fine and I had no trouble installing it. It was definitely time to replace it, because the old one was pretty dry and brittle.

Good quality hose. This replaced my dry rotted vacuum booster hose perfectly. Just remember that some vehicle makes will have a small plastic check valve within the vacuum booster line. This allows vacuum pressure to be reserved for start up or low vacuum circumstances. Great quality product.

Exactly what was required to properly connect engine vacuum to the power brake booster. Fuel and oil cooler hoses are not constructed nor rated for use on vacuum applications and can collapse internally which can cause a loss of power brake assist.
