I have a 22 year old Kenmore Elite dishwasher (yes it still works great) and needed to replace the silverware basket. This basket fits it perfectly. Love the gray. Doesn't seem quite as study as my old one was, but for the price it's great. Exact measurements are: on the top of the basket - length 19 5/8", width 3 3/4", height from bottom of basket to top of handle 8 1/2" .....on the bottom of the basket: length 19", width 3 1/8", height from bottom of basket to bottom of cutout for handle 6 1/2". There are lips around the top. That is what the difference in measurement is.

We have had this dishwasher for quite some time, so when the bottom of one of the silverware cages broke and was allowing things to slip down into the swingarm, I started looking for a replacement. I went to the appliance shop where we bought the dishwasher and they said GE was no longer making that exact silverware caddy, but had a replacement that would work fine. When I looked out on the GE website they were sighting the same revised part number as well. Well that mistake cost me $50 and it was less than half the size of the original ( width and length ) caddy. Since it was a 'special order', I could not return it. I found this one on Amazon and it fits perfect and can handle the same amount of silverware and misc. Yeah Amazon!

I purchased this to replace a broken one that we had used for about 8 years. For plastic component like this, it is not surprising that the material will decay over time after many washes. This new one is exactly what we had before so it fits perfectly. No sure how long this one will last. With this price range, I am tempted to but anther one just as a backup. It is a good replacement with a reasonable price.

The measurements are not accurate. Here is what I measured. Length 50cm (19-5/8 inch), Width 9.6cm (3-3/4 inch), Height without handle 14.3cm (5-1/2 inch), Height with handle 21.5cm (8-5/8 inch).Fit my Kenmore Dishwasher almost perfectly (Ultra Wash model). I read other reviews of GE WD28X10128 from other vendors. Many people said it fits Kenmore. I assume it works for most models.The shape is a waste of space at the corners. I cannot imagine what GE models would do with those triangle areas.

Fits a Kenmore Elite dishwasher but took a star off because, as other reviews have mentioned, the bottom slats are very thin and dropping butter knives onto them will eventually break them. I cut up parts from the old utensil basket and lined the bottom of the new tray to keep the bottom as protection.Will see how the basket holds up under daily dousing of soap.
