Great product that's easy to work with because of its flexibility. It is a true 8-gauge wire with excellent color-coded insulation.I wanted to move the battery for my boat trolling motor ten feet further aft, and I first installed a test piece of ten-foot 1/2 PVC pipe through the ribs along the side gunnel of the boat. The wire was flexible enough that I was able to gently feed it through the PVC without having to remove the pipe, insert the wire, and reinstall everything.I own several boats and riding lawn mowers and will definitely purchase this wire again when needed.

The wire seems descent quality. It is aluminum wire wrapped with copper strands. The color of the housing is a bit off from what I was expecting. The black is more like a dark brown and the red is not the bright opaque red that is typically on battery terminals. Both housing colors are have an iridescence to them, not clear but not solid either.

I don't have much experience with wiring and found it difficult to strip this wire. I had to make 10 pieces for my project, crimping terminals on each end, so it was a lot of work. The very fine copper wires inside cut easily, so it was hard to strip them without losing a lot of the tiny wires, but I got better at it with experience. Be sure to contain the in something as you are working, because those fine wire stick in fabric and get lost on tables and floors, and they hurt like little needles if you get pricked by them, They fit nicely through all the spaces they needed to go and are easy to work with because of their flexibility. My project of wiring 4 batteries in parallel via a busbar was a success! This will make you laugh maybe...but the red wires are very pretty!

True 8AWG, flexible, good value. Just note that I ordered this item twice and both times I received red and brown wires, not black. Not a big deal for me.
